Comunity Connections empowers seniors and individuals with disabilities to remain independent by providing mileage reimbursement for their friends, neighbors, and other community members who provide them with rides.

The Volunteer Driver Program serves individuals that are too frail, or unable to use public transportation for other reasons, or who wish to travel to a destination that crosses county or city lines.

Community Connections Features:

A Volunteer Driver program that provides a FREE transportation reimbursement* for seniors and individuals with disabilities.
Participants identify members of their community that are willing to be a driver for them.
Community Connections does NOT provide a pool of volunteer drivers, but rather allows the riders to find their own trusted driver and provide a mileage reimbursement. A caregiver, friend or neighbor may be a driver. You may have more than one driver and we encourage you to do so.
We help our participants overcome the feeling of dependency by providing a financial mileage reimbursement so that participants have resources to give in return for the help they receive.
Rides can be arranged to cities outside the scope of existing senior transportation programs and most importantly, across county lines.
With Community Connections participants receive door though door assistance and companionship for medical appointments, shopping, classes, family visits, dining, volunteering and personal errands.
